Classes for our Winter session begin January 5th. Please register by Friday December 28th to avoid a $10.00 late fee. You may join after classes have started (if space is available), but we do not offer pro-rated fees and there is a $10.00 late fee. Print a registration form here.
Adult & Tot Gymnastics 1 1/2 -3 yrs.
Have fun with activities that include instruction for safe use of equipment, parachute play, rhythm and movement songs. Adults will aid children as they move within the gym.
PreNastic (3-4 yrs.) and Beginner Gymnastics (5-6 yrs.)
Young children start learning gymnastic skills through games and movements. Learn to take turns and to listen to your instructor to begin a safe introduction to gymnastics. Songs, games and preschool equipment are used.
Aimers (Promoted from previous class): Learn forward tuck rolls, cartwheels, back rolls on incline, mount and walk on mid-size balance beam, hang and hold on bars, jump onto spring board.
Beamers (Promoted from previous class): Learn handstands, cartwheels, back tuck rolls, jumps on balance beam, strength for bars and speed for springboard.
Introduction to Girls Gymnastics 7-15 yrs.
No experience necessary for this class! Girls learn tumbling, bars, balance beam and vault skills. Strength and flexibility exercises are taught.
Introduction to Boys Gymnastics 6-15 years old
No experience necessary for this all boy class! Boys will learn the beginning skills on the six male gymnastics events. Events include floor, vault, pommel horse, high bar, parallel bars and rings.
PreLevel (Promoted from previous class)
Gymnasts continue to increase skills on the balance beam, uneven parallel bars, springboard, floor exercise and strength exercises are taught.
Excel Levels 1, 2, 3 (Promoted from previous class) Girls are promoted from PreLevel 1. “EXCEL” Level skills are taught and prepared for competition. It is recommended that gymnasts register for 2 classes. Level 1-3 gymnasts must have an adult volunteer at competition.
Optional Gymnastics GLIDERS TEAM Girls:
Girls promoted from Excel Level 3 learn Optional level routines for competition incorporate higher difficulty skills and learn team work. Progressing to Optional team means participating in promotional exhibitions and competitions with other park agency teams. Parent involvement is necessary. Glider practices are Saturday 2-5pm, Tuesday 6-8:30pm and Wednesday 6-8:30pm. Gymnasts must participate in fundraisers and events through out the year. Tryouts held in May.
Pay Plans: For Spring & Summer sessions, fees may be made in 2 payments with a $5.00 pay plan service charge.
For Fall & Winter sessions, fees may be made in 3 payments with a $10.00 pay plan service charge.

Location: Central Park Building
Arrival: Children should arrive 5-10 minutes before class start time. Children may put shoes, jackets and any extra belongings in locker room. Children are to then proceed to their classes starting point.
Attire: Girls wear a leotard or body suit (similar to a one piece swimsuit) and boys wear elastic waist shorts and a T-shirt. Children may wear fitted socks or go barefoot. No jewelry may be worn. Hair is to be pulled back off face.
Level Promotions: As skills are mastered, gymnasts may be promoted to next level. Promotion may take place within the session. An instructor will discuss any class change with parent. At end of each session, parent/guardian of participant will receive a letter with next class level information.
Demonstration: ALL classes will have a demonstration on the last day of class.
